“Gebro Pharma and HumanITcare team up to help patients with asthma through a connected health solution“
We signed a collaboration agreement with Laboratorios Gebro Pharma, S.A. to provide an innovative connected health tool for asthma patients in Spain.
The agreement strengthens the relationship that we started with Gebro Pharma in April 2022 and that began with the digital health project “ITcareASMA”, which obtained the support of ACCIÓ.
The solution allows the asthmatic patient to monitor different relevant parameters autonomously and from any location. Among the most prominent: lung capacity, heart rate, blood pressure or saturation of oxygen in blood. By crossing this information with parameters previously collected during patient visits, a platform analyzes health data and sends relevant notifications to both the patient and the healthcare professional. This notification system does not replace the specialist, but it can provide you with additional information to help you make decisions regarding the monitoring, treatment, adherence and prevention of mild or severe poorly controlled asthma.
We will work with Gebro Pharma to co-develop this solution guaranteeing especially the privacy of users, since we have a compliant GDPR system that ensures that all data will be encrypted and anonymized applying the highest standards of digital security.
“There is currently no comprehensive solution to meet most of these needs. Among these are the scarcity of healthcare resources to offer a more personalized treatment to patients, the high care burden of the healthcare professional, limited time per visit or lack of training on the disease by patients or their caregivers, among others” said Gustavo Pérez, Director of Commercial Operations at Gebro Pharma.
