We are thrilled to announce that Natalia Olson-Urtecho, a seasoned leader with a remarkable track record, has joined HumanITcare as Growth Senior Advisor of humanITcare where she will be instrumental in shaping our path in the United States and implementation there.

Natalia brings a wealth of experience to our team, having served as the Regional Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration from 2012 to 2017 under the Obama administration and advisor to the U.S. Congress & White House on Innovation and competitiveness 2010-12 . In this role, she oversaw the delivery and management of small business programs, development initiatives, and financial assistance and lending throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Her leadership spanned 180 SBA offices, SCORE chapters, Business Development Centers, and other vital resources, managing a diverse field staff.
With over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, Natalia has worked extensively with international, regional, and local entities in Latin America, Central Europe, and Asia. Her expertise spans various domains, including entrepreneurship, blockchain, smart cities, finance, government contracting, international collaboration, technology commercialization, environmental planning, sustainable building, zoning, land use, mobility, public engagement, and infrastructure development.
Natalia’s contributions extend beyond the business world. She was appointed to the U.S. Innovation Advisory Board, where she provided guidance to Congress and the White House. She also served on the Philadelphia City Planning Commission and Zoning Code Commission boards, shaping the urban landscape for the better.
Natalia’s achievements have not gone unnoticed. She has been recognized as a “Latina Powerhouse” in Maryland and named one of the Delaware Valley’s (NJ, PA, DE) Most Influential Latinos. She received the Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader Award and was honored with the Women of Distinction Award for her dedication to growing the green economy.
